What The Hell Is Really Going On Here? When Two Good Cars Are Combined To Make Something That Should NOT Go Together. What Were They Thinking?

What The Hell Is Really Going On Here? When Two Good Cars Are Combined To Make Something That Should NOT Go Together. What Were They Thinking?

Sometimes I wonder what are people thinking? This is a question we all ask ourselves when we see some cars, houses, boats, art, you name it. Basically, any item who’s design is open to opinion or critique is based on personal taste. We won’t all think that everything is good. For example, there are people out there that don’t think a 1969 Camaro is a good looking car. They are wrong, but they are welcome to their opinion. Some folks think a 1969 Mustang is the most bad ass car ever, while others can’t stand them. To each his own. With that said, there are some things that people do that just aren’t right no matter what kind of taste you have. For me, those violations are often related to the mixing of two cars. To be inspired by one car, while building another and perhaps taking some styling cues from the inspiration car, is okay and acceptable creative license if done right. But when you throw out all respect for either car, you aren’t doing anyone any favors.

This car right here is a perfect example Ferrari F40 meets Fox Body Mustang. Wow and wow my friends. What do you think? Is this the next big thing, or has someone totally jumped the shark on this one?

What would be a worse combo of cars than this one?

I think it has a lot of good ideas going on here, perhaps taken to a bit of the extreme. Of course, I love the old ’70’s era IMSA cars, with their exaggerated fender flares and all that, and this thing is reminiscent of them.

The rear view is really the one that just kills it for me Gary. It is too Ferrari and it just is horrible. But wide doesn’t bother me, I too like the IMSA cars and there are several widebody fox cars that have IMSA style kits on them that I like. Something about this combo just makes me cringe. Thanks for the comment! We love them.

It could be worse. At least a Mustang has the potential for power and handling. Someone needs to do a Ferrari body kit on a Fiat 126… You know, the 2-cylinder Polish car with 23 horsepower.

HA! I don’t think so. I think gold chain wearing Ferrari wannabe who probably could have bought a 308 for the money he’s got in this thing. LOL

Looks like a rendering and not a real car. I’d call this another French Revolution build – an idea that could have been interesting, but the problem is the execution.

Make the sides a lot less busy, more like conventional box flares, cut out that LTD-size front overhang, fix those melted louvers, and you might be onto something.

Oh yeah baby!! I think it looks amazing. You can clearly see how the ‘two’ cars have been melded together to create a true one-off. To me it looks just right.
Some of my of model car builds are mash ups not dissimilar to this to this.
    Subaru – Transit anyone ?
