Bill Caswell’s SEMA Project Baja BMW Makes Grand Entrance, On a Fork Truck

We already tipped you off to the fact that our rally pal Bill Caswell will be literally constructing a large portion of his BMW Baja 1000 entry in the Miller Welders booth at the SEMA show this year. Just how much was going to be done, we didn’t know. Bill sent us a photo today and the dude sure has his work cut out for him. It looks like lots of the interior cage is done but other than that, not too much.

Hell, the car entered the massive Las Vegas convention center in the tender hands of a fork truck. That’s saying something right there. Caswell will be burning Miller MIG wire all week long to get the three-series Beemer ready for one of the most grueling automotive competitions in the world.

We’ll be hanging out with Bill and actually welding a little on the car ourselves at the show on Friday at 10:30am. Swing by to see how boogery our beads are!

Here’s a larger shot of the car headed into the show. If we know this guy, he’s already welding.
