The 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas officially opens today, and after weeks of preparation and setup, the top manufacturers in the industry are ready to show off the latest and greatest the automotive aftermarket has to offer. Typically the Monday night before the SEMA show opens is a chance for folks to get into town, go to special dinners with some of the larger manufacturers, and hit the bar for a few adult beverages before the “work” starts tomorrow. Fortunately for you, we were at a special GM Unveiling and Reception presented by Chevrolet and GM Performance Parts. On hand were UFC’s Nate “The Great” Marquardt and Skyscrape from Tap Out, who were seeing their GM Performance Parts, Crate Engine equipped Chevrolet’s for the first time.

In Marquardt’s corner, a 1970 Chevelle featuring GMPP’s LS376 crate engine with the LS9 SuperCharger package. Making 650 horsepower and 650 lbft of torque, this Pro Touring Chevelle will have no problems carving the corners and tearing up the streets.

In Skyscrape’s corner, a 1955 Chevy 210 featuring GMPP’s LSX454 crate engine, plus a NOS Nitrous shot on top. With wide whites and bias ply tires, this bad boy isn’t going to hook but it sure will make great smoke.

Check out of video below. And stay tuned for the coolest coverage on the planet as we bring you the SEMA SHOW 2010!
