$3,500 Build: Casey Tries The 1951 Chevy Body On The Blazer Chassis. Will It All Fit?

In the last video, Casey was asking all of us viewers what we thought he should do moving forward since he may have chosen the wrong chassis for this build. With 95% of the viewers telling him to stick with it, he’s doing exactly that and getting this body swap project moving forward and the old body and new chassis starting to come together.  After successfully building an F100 for just $1,000, it would seem that building a 1951 Chevy would be a snap for $3,500. But it’s not that simple when you consider what Casey is going to do, as this project will include a very interesting chassis swap, chop top, air ride, interior, and more. While it will be a patina-style build it is going to be cool as hell and something you could drive cross country with no issues. We dig these cars and this one is the perfect candidate for a chassis swap and rebuild. We approve, and can’t wait to see it come to fruition.

In this video, Casey is trying to trim the Blazer’s floors, rockers, and dash area to make them fit inside the old Chevy. There is a lot of cutting going on, and the critical measurements are going to be tight, but the first test fitting is going to happen whether we like it or not.

Stay tuned, because Casey is serious about the budget and sells as much as he can off the donor or project vehicle so that he can really make things work. On the $1,000 build, he even included a tools list and how much each of them cost. This guy is thorough.
