Progress Continues on Ridetech’s Killer Factory Five ’33 Build

As you know, the guys and girls at Ridetech are always up to something awesome. Whether it is buying or selling cars at auction, thrashing their stuff on road courses and autocrosses across the country or building their next world beater, they really know how to have fun. The crew at Ridetech is closing in on the final stages in their build of a Factory Five Racing ’33 coupe. Assembling the car the way Factory Five instructs will result in a machine that looks like an old school hot rod but can out perform some of the finest domestic and foreign high performance cars in the world. Because Bret and his crew of henchmen can never leave well enough alone, they are kicking this built up several dozen notches to construct what we believe will be the highest performance FFR ’33 in the world.

The whole process got started last year with the purchase of a FFR ’33 and now the crew has the entire car painted and the body is going to be reassembled soon. Work is starting in earnest on the interior at this point, so this baby should be burning tires in no time flat. The motor in the car is a proper Ford and the chassis has been totally scienced out, a roll cage has been added, large by huge brakes have been spec’d out, and there is lots of rubber on all four corners.

As you will remember, Ridetech ran a design contest to determine what the finished car will look like. That winning design is being made into a wrap that will be laid over the car in the near future. The flat black paint you see on the body now, will be covered by the slick looking, contest winning design. Also, in typical Ridetech fashion, the guys have found all sorts of cool and subtle ways to work Ridetech logos into different parts of the car like the gas cap and others Nothing over the top, just super high quality and tasteful touches.
