Celebration of Mickey Thompson’s Life and Accomplishments at NHRA Museum on May 15th

Pal of BangShift and executive director of the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum Tony Thacker dropped a note letting us know that the museum will be hosting a great event celebrating the life and milestones of Mickey Thompson on May 15th. The museum currently has an awesome Mickey Thompson exhibit going on that allows visitors to come face to face with some of the most significant hot rods in history. From Indy cars to land speed machines, Thompson’s reputation as the greatest hot rodder who ever lived is still intact.

We wish that our east coast offices were not thousands of miles away because we’d be at this event in a second. A panel discussion will be moderated by Dave McClelland and will feature members like Gale Banks, Tom Jobe, Alex Xydias, Danny Thompson and others. Some awesome stories and laughs are certain to be generated by that group.

If you are near Pomona on May 15th and you fail to make this event, we’re revoking your gearhead credentials! Click here to see the BangShift.com gallery of the MT display at the museum and you’ll see what we’re talking about.
