Cool New Product Video: Dynatech SuperMAXX Headers for the 2011 Challenger SRT8

Designing headers for late model cars has to be like learning Chinese algebra. With the way engines are packaged into vehicles, there is an incredible amount of work involved in packaging and functionality. Plus, you’ve got to be able to install them as well. Those bundles of snakes don’t build themselves, luckily for us gearheads, companies like Dynatech do the heavy lifting.

This video shows, in entertaining fashion, how the company goes through the process of designing headers for a new application. In this case it is a 2011 Challenger SRT8 with the 392 Hemi engine. What’s cool about the SuperMAXX headers is the absolute guarantee that they are a bolt in fit. Their are detailed install directions included, which is cool because historically header shipped with what typically amounted to a slip of paper that told the installer to remove their exhaust manifolds and bolt on the headers. Just that easy! Yeah, right.

As you’ll see in the video the car picked up big numbers at the wheels on the chassis dyno just from bolting on the headers, before messing with the factory tune. You’d be able to take the 20hp and make it even more with your tuner after optimizing the combo!
