It’s funny to think there was actually a time in this country when a man could ask the question, “How many women would fit in the trunk of a ’57 Dodge?” without someone calling the cops. Don’t try it now, trust us.
Anyway, this is one hell of a cool photo and press release. We’re assuming that all five of those women are actually full sized and whole, we put nothing past the press departments of the ’50s, before political correctness took over. Those boys played some tricks! We love how the release touts that the trunk is six feet wide. Now we get that kind of info in useless cubic feet.
Also, in this photo doesn’t it seem like Buck Baker, with his kind of wild hair, high pants, and slightly crazy looking smile is a little too impressed with the ability of the trunk to hold all those women, without having to cut them up?
