In what has to be the single greatest case of “Why would you do that?” in automotive history, someone has actually grafted parts and pieces from a 1942 Packard onto the front and rear of a 1976 Lincoln Town Car. The big bulbous fenders of the ’42 Packard were melded cleanly into the body of the Lincoln but that doesn’t mean that it came out good. The work was done in a professional manner from the roof to the rounded trunk but holy smokes is this thing weird. At the end of the day, you are looking at a 1976 Lincoln that this guy is trying to sell for $9,000. Cars like this are certainly curious and the history on how it came to exist is probably fascinating, but jeepers creepers….why?

The fake bullet holes on the pass side fender/hood/windshield add a nice touch to the car LOL. If it was in Detroit they’d probably be real!
This thing kinda grows on me!
I’d put it on airbags, paint it flat black, lose the crappy exhausts add some moon discs and low (nice pun intended) and behold a 1940s/70s mixed up custom. I think it just doesn’t work trying to look stock like it was born kicking and screaming that way. Chop the roof add some louvers and a turbo BBF then take it to the nearest dry lake.
In fact if I had the money this would have been shipped over to Geordie land and on the road now! You have to admire such twisted imagination long may it continue!
