Look at it! Would you just look at it? This is greatness. I have zero dollars to buy it, but it is amazing and I love it and want it and you should too. This 1965 Impala Station Wagon is the holy grail of Impala Wagons. Big block powered, all original and with a patina that makes me so happy, this is the car that you just want to do the minimum to and drive. Sure it will need some interior, but that is all readily available, and the seller says it runs and drives great thanks to the rebuild brakes and front suspension.

Based on the pictures, it looks to me like all the belts and hoses have also been replaced, the air conditioning compressor and bracket were recently removed and hopefully saved, and the cap and rotor have been replaced along with a set of plug wires. It’s a big block baby, they want to run forever so it should be good to go for another 67,000 miles which is what the odometer claims.

With the suspension rebuilt and the brakes working, I’d most likely do a disc brake swap up front, go a bit wider on the rear wheels and do a set of more appropriate bigs and less bigs. I’d replace the a/c compressor, the condenser, evaporator core and heater core, and get my drive on! I can only imagine the burnout fun this car would be.

Anyway, someone buy it. Please. And then let me go for a ride in it.

Yep, perfect. We bought a 66 2 years ago with a blown up 283, perfect patina and in worse shape than this one. the great thing is there is a lot of reproduction parts out there for these. I just finished buffing and polishing the paint and coating the patina on ours. I know Chad has one too. They are great cruisers that always catch the looks.
