We Don’t Know Why Everyone Thinks C4 Corvettes Aren’t Cool

We Don’t Know Why Everyone Thinks C4 Corvettes Aren’t Cool

While everything 80’s seems to be cool again, we still wonder why the venerable C4 Corvette is not growing in favor with gearheads everywhere. They are cheap, have suspension that is good from the factory and can be made great, and they have great 80’s/90’s style. Our buddy Jeff Lee is absolutely infatuated with C4 Corvettes and is looking for one just like this to be able to run at Pro Touring and Goodguys events. We can’t blame him. This one is a screaming deal, considering the parts it has in it. It does have some engine trouble, but we can’t image we can’t fix that and make this thing great. Or, we could take the Small Block out and put an LS in it’s place. That would make this thing great.

1990 Chevy Corvette, price drop due to engine not running, details below. Bring a trailer.

383 CI stroker motor with less than 2k miles on the clock. As of last week the engine cranks but does not start. Unsure of cause. Checked oil, no metal shavings so doesn’t appear to be a catastrophic failure. I don’t have the time or patience to troubleshoot so my loss is your gain. Shoot me an email with your phone number and I’ll give you a call with more details if you would like.

Car passed smog on 9/23/18, certificate comes with car and is good for 90 days.

Having owned an \’85 Z51 Corvette since new, I\’m with you on why these get a bad rap. It runs good and handles fantastically. I also like the styling. To each his own!

Too far from south Texas, but seems to be a screamin’ deal! I’m with Chad, whatever the problem, for that price, I could figger it out!

I love the C4 on the outside and think it’s a great looking car (actually prefer it to the C5 by a lot)
But then there’s the interior that represents EVERYTHING that sucks about 80s GM products.
Even still they are a good buy at current prices and a cheap way into a cool reliable weekend cruiser.

Thanks for the nod Chad. Yes I like C4\’s and G Body\’s even if it is unreasonable. I plan to get one, LS swap it, and make a track day/autocross car with our HammerHead differential. C4\’s are now Goodguys legal BTW through 1987. The interior is totally 80\’s plastic garbage, but honestly I don\’t care.
