If you have not noticed, the internet is a strange place. It is also a thing that never forgets anything. That’s why when we were tipped off to the sale of this insane looking Nova snow monster thing by Scott Brown we had an inkling that we may have actually seen it before. A few ket strokes on the old Google Machine brought us right back to 2013 and the last time this baby was on our pages. Back then the asking price as a cool $1,000 but now inflation, the strengthening dollar and rising interest rates have elevated it to $2,500 bucks. We understand these factors far better than most. Anyway, it is still really weird, oddly appealing, and something we’d like to see someone else own so we could ride in it.
Fix that. Someone needs to buy this thing! Here’s our thoughts form 2013, we don’t think they have changed.
Here’s the current ad link
Let’s jump in the hot tub time machine and go back to 2013 –
With all of my soul I wish I could take credit for this amazing find of what can only be described as a 1970 Nova Snowmobile/snowcat/snow transporter/meth inspired amalgamation of metal, plastic, and rubber, but I cannot. That honor has to be bestowed onto ace BS tipster Erik Andersson. It was he who saw the ad for this machine on a local classified site and immediately alerted us to the ad. Believe it or not they are only asking $1,000 for all of this mind blowing bad-assery.
Erik summed it up better than we ever could in his tip email. Here’s what he had to say: I have to share. At one point, this project grandeur was within plain-view of I-15 in Cedar City, Utah where it curiously sat in someone’s back yard teasing passing gear-heads. Some years ago, it disappeared – Now it is for sale in the non-running car section for the paltry sum of $1000! You can’t help but imagine, the owner and his snow-loving pals stuck somewhere on a mountain in a machine that can’t decide if it’s a drag-car, grocery-getter or sled. The seller says it could be used for a billboard, yard-art or rebuild it. Based on the remote location alone, my bet is that it will return to the earth in a sad-state of perpetual decomposition and shame of what once was and what could have been… (At least the 10′ long rear quarters aren’t famously rusted–out!) You have to admire the dreamer for trying to be unique despite the obvious rhetorical statement/question. WTH? – Really!!

To each his own. But it is different.
Put it back.
Make it a real Nova again.
Make this car happy.
Save this Nova’s life.
It’s not too late.
A place I used to work at had an old Tucker that was guaranteed to do one thing EVERY time we took it out – toss a track. The fix wasn’t too bad in the grand scheme of things, although it would really test the working relationships of co-workers. This looks like it will take that scenario to a whole knew level. I do like where he was going with this creation. Chevy – dime a dozen. Might as well cut ’em up if you have the chance.
Looks like they did a pretty respective job stretching the body, would be cool to see it rebuilt and smashing snow drifts.
Well we have Murder Nova then MoorDoor Nova now More Nova! I wonder if Shane needs mooorrre rubber on the road?
The snowmobile nova is my creation!! It has been real fun to make! I built it many years ago, even the visor was built by me. I only used 1 nova for this creation.
