You literally cannot make this stuff up. English coppers were out in droves earlier this month running a campaign they call “No Excuses” aimed at identifying dangerous drivers. They caught people doing all kinds of dumb stuff, but the capper was a 53-year-old woman driving her car down the road with the hood folded over the roof. Stunning.

Among some of the other violations they caught people in? A guy in a Ferrari passed an unmarked cop car doing 80 in a 50mph zone, there was a guy rolling a cigarette and steering his car with his elbows, and several people yakking on phones.

It is not clear whether or not the people caught doing these stupid human tricks were fined or punished (we have to guess the Ferrari guy was) or if this was just some sort of scientific survey being done by the police.

We’ll admit to violating the cell phone rule, and the eating in the car infraction as well, but the hood over the roof trick? That’s not on our resume.
