Car Show Coverage: The Cavalcade Of Cars Show – Hamburg, New York

(Words and photos by Mike Brooks/Gasoline Images) – The first sign of good things to come in the Buffalo car community begins with the 23rd annual Cavalcade of Cars held at the Erie County Fairgrounds. The show was filled to the brim with all kinds of classics, customs, trucks, racecars, bikes and rods. The show is always a great opportunity to spend time with all the local car folks that have come out of hibernation to discuss what’s to come of this years hotrodding season. We get to see who’s been wrenching on what and what to expect to see cruising the streets and terrorizing local racetracks this summer.

Giving us all assurance that this long cold winter will someday end.  Music and live bands were jamming all weekend long on the main floor as well as the 6th annual Old S’cool Revue room where rockabilly bands like “The Greasemarks” and “The Blue Ribbon Bastards” rocked out while folks enjoyed checking out traditional style hot rods, pinup girls, and relics of all sorts ruled the scene.  There was even a barber on hand for anyone wanted to get a fresh hot rod haircut! Check out the photos that give just a little taste of the massive car culture that resides around Buffalo, NY

Ive fled for the south now but it’s nice to see my hometown (very small town at that) popping up for having one of the coolest car shows in the country.
