(Photos by Dan Grippo) – Frequent BangShift contributor Joe Grippo has a brother named Dan. Joe insists that they aren’t twins and that he’s better looking than Dan. Frankly, we think that the jury is still out on that. Outside of family squabbles over looks, Dan shares his brother’s aptitude with a camera and back in October Dan hit the super cool Jalopyrama car show in Annapolis, Maryland. This show is open to 1962 and earlier hot rods, customs, and vintage race cars. The good news is that TONS of all three categories showed up and filled the grounds of the Annapolis National Guard Armory. The location itself is retro-cool because so many early hot rod shows were hosted at local armory locations across the country. The cars and the place are a throw back to hot rodding’s colorful past.
This is the 9th running of the event and that’s cool because it means that Jalopyrama is well supported and draws a great crowd. They’ll have some neat stuff going on next year for the 10th anniversary iteration of the show, we’re sure. Put this late season event on your calendar for 2013 and keep your eyes peeled to the Jalopyrama site for info and the dates of the 2013 event when they are released.
