When the USCA’s Optima Search For The Ultimate Street Car series comes to Wisconsin each year, for the Face Off at Road America event, one of the coolest things is the registration and welcome party at Johnson Controls, home of Optima Batteries. The car show has become an annual tradition that not only features competitors for the weekend’s racing activities, but also Johnson Controls employees who bring their own hot rods out to show off. In addition to the hot rods, we also get to enjoy yummy Wisconsin grub, including hot dogs, brats, burgers, and a new addition for the year, soft pretzels and cheese! Now I’m a guy that loves soft pretzels, but I’m a mustard dude, not a cheese guy. But, to each his own.

We had a good time, shot interviews for TV, and will be back out tomorrow at West Bend Dyno for the start of the Detroit Speed Road Rally.
