(Photos by Doug Garrison) – Like station wagons, trucks are a super popular sub-set of the hot rodding hobby. As you know from being a loyal BangShift reader, we love ’em in all of their shapes and sizes. From lumbering giants like our own C50 wrecker to lithe, hot rodded autocross terrorizing efforts like you’ll see in this gallery, trucks can be made into anything the end user wants them to be, just like cars. In recent years, the aftermarket has exploded with truck specific parts and pieces as these iconic American machines represent a cheaper entry point into the hot rod hobby than some of their more well known and loved car counterparts. For instance, a 1955 Chevy truck can be had for pennies on the dollar when compared to a 1955 Chevy coupe!
