(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – We’re back with a second and final look at the recent Auburn Elks cruise night in Massachusetts through photos by our own Johnny Gaudette. We told you yesterday that Gaudette is a high school student that cruises a sweet old Plymouth and does a great job shipping us photos from various shows and hot rod gatherings around his area. We’re excited that Johnny is a young guy who really “gets it” and is as deeply passionate about this car stuff as guys twice his age. He has an appreciation for history and despite the fact that he’s a Mopar crazed dude, we think he’s A-OK.
With hot rods, 1950s cruising iron, trucks, and a healthy dose of muscle car magic, this cruise night was a success by any standard. As we have said a million and one times now, cars were built to be driven and appreciated by an audience who understands what their looks, mechanicals, and heritage are about. Fretting that your junk isn’t picture perfect and leaving it in the garage without driving it is possibly the biggest car guy fail possible. None of the people at this event suffer from that issue. Those are our kind of car dudes and dudettes.
