For more than 25 years guys have been hanging out at the Donut shop at Magnolia and Adams in Huntington Beach California. A couple hundred cars per week show up now, and despite a few bitching shop owners in the past, Donut Derelicts is still alive and well. It’s an early affair, which means that you late sleepers will never make it, but we were there and shot 130+ photos of the cars from this particular Saturday. We are jealous that nothing like DD goes on close to our house, because if our junk actually ran this would be a good little weekend ritual even if I’m only home one weekend per month. If you are anywhere in Southern California and haven’t gone to Donut Derelicts, then you have to make the trip next Saturday. If you are coming to SoCal for vacation, Donuts happens early enough that you can cruise out of the hotel, go see some cars, and be back in time for the late breakfast buffet at your Disneyland area hotel. You won’t even get into trouble!

I made it out to DD in January of 2006, I got there a little after 5:00 A.M. and there were probably 10 to 20 cars there already, Chad’s right, if you’re going to be in SoCal you need to hit DD!
