Event Coverage: 25th Annual Seal Beach Classic Car Show, Featuring Hot Rods, Racecars, and More!

The last Saturday of April means the Seal Beach California Classic Car Show is going on, and it’s one we hate to miss, so we hit the streets of Seal Beach with our camera clicking and had a hell of a time. With over 500 cars on site, amazing Southern California beach weather, and the wonderful town of Seal Beach as the host, it’s no wonder tens of thousands of folks were walking around having a great time. Plus, where else can you see the Winged Express with the beach right behind it! If you haven’t been to Seal Beach before, it’s nestled just north of Sunset and just south of Long Beach. It has tons of restaurants on it’s Main Street, and is a fun place to walk around, eating, drinking, and checking out hot rods which is just what we did. For those of you who weren’t getting to enjoy mid 70’s California weather, check out the photos we took and then you can hate us.

Dad took me to Indy in1969 for the U.S.Nationals. I was only five years old but I still remember “Wild” Willie Borsch and the Winged Express. God he was cool. We lived in Portage,IN. Our regular track was the late great U.S. 30 Dragway in Hobart,IN. just outside Joliet,IL. Even though Willie is gone and the current Winged Express isn’t his I still enjoy seeing it run.
