Event Coverage: 46 Photos from the Long Beach Swap Meet, 6/14/2009

The swap meet held in Long Beach, Califoria, by Topping Events is nearly as famous as the one in Pomona. I have to admit that I like this one much better than Pomona. Yes, it’s smaller in size, but it’s much more focused. By that I mean you don’t have to wade through tons of unautomotive related vendors trying to find what you need. The fact that it is half the distance from my house and it starts an hour later are big pluses too.

I’m going to divulge a secret to going to this swap meet. It costs the same to park and go in the pedestrian gate as it does to park in the car show/corral area much closer to the vendor areas. Bringing your classic car or truck and parking it in the car show area means less walking while carrying those heavy heads you got for a song.

This morning the car corral was practically empty when I arrived at 6:30. By 8:30, the parking lot was packed like sardines with tons of very cool cars and a few real bargains. A couple real steals too.
