Event Coverage: The 2010 Walcott Truckers Jamboree

Event Coverage: The 2010 Walcott Truckers Jamboree

The Walcott Truckers Jamboree has been held every year since 1979. It is found on the grounds of the world’s largest truck stop located on interstate 80 in the bustling metropolis of Walcott, Iowa. The event is a true bonanza of fun with tons of events, fireworks, rides for kids, and of course, a truck show. Our Mid-Western photo maven, Greg Rourke was on the scene and blasted a great gallery of photos from the show.

Big rigs can be hot rods, kustoms, and cruisers too, this gallery proves it. Our favorites are the trucks that were made by the Detroit brands, Dodge, Ford, GMC, etc. There was a time when those guys made everything and these trucks prove it.

There are a couple B-Model Macks which we spent considerable time electronically drooling over. Click the link below and celebrate the big work horses of the American motorway, big rigs!

Chad’s Note: We’ve driven by the World’s Largest Truck Stop on several road trips, but during Power Tour this year, we actually stopped in and had a look around. To say this place was huge would be like saying Wal Mart has a few items that come from China. Seriously, it took us 15 minutes just to find the damn coffee stand for Daphne. The place rules. They have more stuff than you can imagine, and it is a must visit stop anytime you drive through Iowa on I-80.
