Event Coverage: The General’s Collection From Somernites Cruise’s 100th Show – And It’s Quite A Mix!

When was the last time you saw a LaSalle? I had never seen one in metal until this weekend, and there it was, sitting pretty in a parking lot, sun gleaming off of the chrome. That’s the beauty of Somernites…regardless of the feature of the weekend, you are liable to see just about anything that rolls on four wheels. Or three…depends. The black 1959 Pontiac Catalina convertible nearly didn’t make it to the cruise after breaking the rear axle on the way to the show! But as the day went on the cars rolled in, and GM was well-represented with nearly all marques sold in the U.S. present and accounted for. In particular, we’re lusting over the blue Oldsmobile 442 that rolled in…in person, that paint is miles deep and the interior is day-one perfect. But if it’s not up your alley, surely there has to be a GM product here that at least does something for you in here!
