Gallery: An Awesome Collection of Antique Motorized Bicycles At The Dezer Collection

We’ve been taking you through the massive and diverse Dezer Collection Museum in Miami, Florida this week and we continue today with this gallery of some seriously neat stuff. One section of the museum is dedicated to a huge gathering of antique motorized bicycles that range from really old to ancient. There are Whizzer bikes in there, bicycles built for two with little motors on them, and a bunch of bikes that have auxiliary wheels and engines bolted to their frames. We’ve seen photos and stuff of these over the years but never this many up close.

We’re guessing that these bikes are the lowest horsepower machines we have ever featured on the site, but damn they sure are neat. People have been thinking up ways to get themselves around with gasoline for a very long time and these bikes are proof of that. Some look too scary to even attempt to ride but others look as right as rain with their little engines mounted and ready for action.

Hit the link below for something completely different and totally interesting!

Brian, this going to sound nuts, but this is one of the coolest group of photos you’ve posted in months. Being a hardcore bicycle guy this totally does it for me. Schwinn Sting-Rays are my thing, but there are few things on two wheels cooler than some of those pre-war bikes, the Schwinns best of all. Great stuff, thanks for taking the time to shoot all of these. I loved it. Also, you do know that most of these are worth more than a bad ass muscle car is worth!?
