Gallery: Autocross Photos From the 2012 Running of Mopars at the Strip

(Photos by Hotchkis Sport Suspension) – While rain certainly did its best to dampen the drag strip action at last weekend’s Mopars at the Strip event in Las Vegas, the Hotchkis autocross was a hive of activity. As one would expect, there were Mopars a-plenty but now that the event has been opened up to all makes and models of performance cars, there’s some eye candy in there for your Ford and Chevy boys as well. The autocross was open to all show entrants, and folks who weren’t ready to run their own cars could hop in the passenger seat of any of the Hotchkis-equipped demo cars, from 5.0 Mustangs to the famed (and very popular) 1970 E-Max Challenger, driven by Mary Pozzi.

As we’ve been saying, autocrosses have been becoming ever more popular over the last few years as more and more people are interested in using their cars to do more than just burn up a drag strip. Companies like Hotchkis and others in the marketplace specialize in helping classic and modern cars work a lot better in the handling department and the results can be seen in these photos. More than 1500 runs were recorded through the cones, which is hella impressive. You can see results by clicking the links below. Hit the gallery link to see the photos!

Thanks to Hotchkis Sport Suspension for the photos from the event!

We had a blast at the autocross! The weather was marginal, but it didnt matter. John and his hard working crew really put on a good show. Mary rips!

We’re so glad to hear that everyone enjoyed the autocross rides as much as we enjoyed giving them.

Mary is indeed an incredible driver, and we hope she encourages many women (and men!) to get out and try a few laps on a racecourse.
