(Photos by Charles Wickam) – This is our last gallery from the 2014 Texas edition of the Keels and Wheels Concours show and we’ve saved the most BangShifty stuff for this gallery! In here you’ll see a legit, 100% real early Shelby Cobra still proudly packing the little 260ci V8 that it came with. You’ll see one of the, if not the nicest stock Hemi Belvedere that we have ever seen at a show, the sweet Tornio below, more classic Shelby Mustangs, and on and on and on. Don’t get turned off by the “Concours D’Elegance” title of the show. Yes, that sounds uppity and snooty, but the reality is that this is a celebration of the coolest vehicles of the land and the air. You don’t have to nibble foreign cheese and caviar to enjoy it. Hell, Wickam had a great time there and he’s practically a caveman. True story.
On this Friday, enjoy our last look at the great time we had at the 2014 Keels and Wheels show in Texas. There are a series of these events across the country and all of them are used to raise money to support worthy causes in their respective areas. If you have the chance to experience a show like this, do it at least once. Why? We all know the feel of a parking lot show and there’s nothing wrong with it, but it is a another genre of fun to take in an event like this that combines some incredible scenery and setting along with all of the cool cars and boats.
