Yesterday we put up a bunch of cool photos from the Uraidla South Australia show that Darryl Daniels shot for us, and today we’ve got even more! Despite a bit of rain, the Aussies were out in force at the show, with all kinds of cool American and Australian iron. Not only is it cool to see some of the American cars with right side, or wrong side if you prefer, drive, but it’s also cool to see all the Utes and Aussie only models. And never have 4 doors been cooler than the ones they have in Australia. I don’t know what it is, but those guys love their “crew cabs” as we like to call them here. In recent years GM has been known to use some of the Australian platforms for new US models and looking at the photos of all the old cars makes you wonder whether that was going on back in the day at all or not. Some of the Australian models have subtle styling cues and such that seem familiar. For some reason the SS models in Australia make me think Chevelle and GTO a little.
Thanks again to Darryl Daniels for hooking us up with these great photos, we appreciate it.
