One of the many reasons that the 2012 SEMA shows rules the school is because it serves as the staging ground for the annual Optima Street Car Invitational event which is held in Pahrump, Nevada. This is the event that gathers the world’s best field of Pro Touring cars and puts them through a series of events to crown a champion. As has been the case over the years since the event first started, the majority of the field is set and at the SEMA show, less than 10 “golden tickets” are handed out to worthy rides that will join the existing field.
