(Photos by Doug Garrison) – The huge gathering of hot rodder known as the yearly Daytona Turkey Run has its own traditions. One of those traditions is an “outlaw” car show at a place known as the Belair Shopping Plaza in Daytona. This is kind of like an over grown Donut Derelicts deal where everyone just gathers up, hangs out for several hours and then splits off into their own direction. It is about seeing bitchin’ cars, seeing old friends, and just enjoying the night. There’s no structure, trophies, judging, etc. Our man on the Daytona scene this year was Doug Garrison who cruised his vintage Pontiac wagon down from PA to participate. He was at Belair and sent us a great pile of photos. There’s so many we’re doing two galleries. Here’s the first!
Is there anything there going on when the Turkey run isn’t on? Nice pictures!
