(Photos by Charles Wickam) – While the internet has become the largest venue for selling cars, parts, and virtually all other kinds of automotive related stuff, the good old swap meet lives on. There is value in being able to handle the parts you are buying and there is certainly an advantage to be able to haggle with the guy selling it to save a couple of bucks. Charles Wickam recently attended the Traders Village Houston Swap Meet that is put on by the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and he sent us a gallery of photos from the event.
Like most swap meets, there were lots of loose parts for sale, old motorcycles, and plenty of other sad sack looking stuff. This meet had a good car corral for people looking to buy a whole project car to get wrenching on. Keep your eyes peeled for a certain “California Special” that needs only a thermo-nuclear device detonated under it to be cool and a really sweet Studebaker drag truck project. There’s lots more unique and cool stuff in this gallery to boot!

Wow.. What’s with the Maverick that has the surfboard on it? I hope it has a “La Cucaracha” horn on it.
