(Words and photos by Joe Grippo) –Β They came from all over…Michigan, Texas, Florida, Wisconsin, California, Nebraska to name a few. Tons of mini and not so mini road trips all ending at the historic Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland home of the 2nd Annual Rodder’s Journal Revival.
Few shows have this much clout to pull of a collection of cars like this out side of the Hot Rod birth place of California but Steve Coonan and his staff of the Rodder’s Journal have done it again. A wonderful location, tons of afterhour activities, continuous live music, really choice vendor displays, awesome gourmet food trucks and some killer iron make this a not to be missed shindig.
(Editor’s note: This show is incredible and for the second year we had a commitment that prevented our direct attendance. We’re jealous as hell of Joe and company because they got to go and hang out with all of this bitchin’ stuff! Joe shot hundreds of photos and we’re going to dole them out over the next few days. Enjoy and thanks always to Grippo…a true OG BangShifter!)
Way to go Joe. Looks like a visual history lesson of hotrodding.
Can we get more info on that ’53 or 54 Chevy wagon? for instance:
what engine, interior shots, if it’s for sale … you know, stuff like that. π
Great photos of some really cool cars, looks like it would have been a good run to attend.
Really love that 36 tub with race car on the trailer .
Didn’t see any – WHAT THE type of cars (maybe they have been weeded out/refused entry) LOL
Fed up with the numerous men headlines? I’m at this website just for you
