Oh, This Blows (oil all over the place): Ever Wanted Your Car To Get An Oil Bath? Here’s The Quick Way

Oh, This Blows (oil all over the place): Ever Wanted Your Car To Get An Oil Bath? Here’s The Quick Way

(By Greg Rourke) – So today out in front of my place of employment a Mack ready mix truck came to a smoking, slimey stop. That’s motor oil all over everything,  it was coming out of the exhaust stack. Note the tag axle is down, it was full of concrete. Yikes.

How does this happen? Sometimes a blown seal on the turbo, but that usually results in a bunch of blue smoke, not oil everywhere. I’m guessing a broken piston, allowing oil in the combustion chamber which gets blown out through the exhaust. Just a guess.
So now there’s a mad scramble to prevent a whole bunch of concrete from hardening in the drum. A guy shows up with  cases of oil and dumps it into the wounded engine. They cranked it up and ran it at what was likely as fast as it would run, making a lot smoke, even for an old Mack. A West Texas driller would have been ecstatic if he had a gusher like what was blowing out the stack. Jam it in gear and off they went.
Every car in our parking lot, as well as all the cars at Hertz next door received a nice Rotella 15W40 bath.

I want pics of the trail of black cars behind it as well. I was parked next to a truck in a truck stop one night. I went in grabbed some food, came out and my car was covered with oil.
