Well, since DF has to get back on the short bus come Monday and head into the office, we thought we’d use this opportunity to say thanks, and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. We’re just kidding of course, as his blog items will be severely missed (there are just a few left in the system) and his stewardship of this place has brought a load of people together.
The Chadster and I have some pontoon-boat-sized shoes to fill here, and we’ll do our best to keep Dave’s vision on the right track, which we believe is actually off the tracks. HA!
The good news is that “the man” can’t completely keep him down and he will still be able to cruise our forums and taunt us with news and views from inside the publishing world in an informal manner.
We have to repaint the sign above the door as well and that’s going to be happening in a quick fashion as soon as Chad and I settle our differences and agree on a name. If the lawyer can give us some more vague and incomprehensible advice, it may convolute the situation even more. Hey, he’s the best lawyer we could find that would accept payment in car parts and he works out of a very nice conversion van.
Anyway, boss, thanks for tossing the keys to Chad and I. When you feel like stopping by please call ahead so we can clean up the beer cans, pizza boxes, and pull the grimy cylinder heads out of the dish washer.
