Funny: We Interrupt This SEMA-Gasm To Show You A Bizarre And Hilarious Photo

(Photo by Robert Martin) – Just because SEMA 2012 is rocking and rolling doesn’t mean that the automotive world stops or that the BangShift tipsters go to sleep on the job. Case in point is the photo below, which was sent to us by our pal Robert Martin and it depicts the weirdest scrap hauling vehicle in the history of weird scrap hauling vehicles (and let’s face it, there have been lots of them).

The thing appears to be the unholy union of a 1990s Ford Probe nose and…ok, half of a 1990s Ford Probe and the bed of a 1970s Ford truck. Obviously this is on the truck chassis, which may be bent as the truck bed and Probe body are kinked up in the middle. It is certainly possible that the mounting of the Probe body was not done in a professional fashion and this frame damage is an optical illusion, but let’s be honest here. The obvious lack of a windshield, side windows, roof, and rear body enclosure must be a liberating experience for the driver, who looks like Silent Bob from the Kevin Smith movies. The guy appears to have a decent load of scrap sheet metal (referred to in yards back home in New England as “light iron”). Sure, the price of scrap is down but that hasn’t deterred our recycling hero below. He’s just flat out getting it done.

There aren’t adequate words to describe what the hell is going on in this photo. Enjoy it for yourselves.

Hey, it’s a “Probester” P/up! Actually, it makes me want to throw-up. Not many style points; what is it they say about necessity being the mother of invention? “38-39, whatever it takes…”
