SEMA 2012 New Product Spotlight: Hamburger’s Changes Filter Relocation Forever And Trans-Dapt Is A Perfectmatch

Have you ever done an oil filter relocation only to find that your particular application has to be the most difficult ever with regards to hose routing? We have. Have you ever finished restoring your engine bay only to find that once all the parts were together your Ford blues didn’t match? We have. But now thanks to Hamburger’s and Trans-Dapt we don’t have to worry about either of those happening to us…ever again.

Ever had to make some kind of adapter to get the filter to aim in a direction that makes the hoses possible? We have. Ever had to mount the filter in such a way as to make a horrible mess every time you change the oil and filter? We have. But thanks to Hamburger’s there is now a killer solution. An oil filter relocation kit that will clock up to 180 degrees so that you can get your hoses where you need them, rather than where it was convenient for the manufacturer. We like that a lot. It’s so simple that we wish we had thought of it, but it’s also super cool.

There is nothing worse than spray painting 5 different items in your engine compartment the same shade of Chevy orange or Ford blue only to have them all look completely difference once they are installed. Different primers, none at all, different materials, etc, all have an effect on the colors, but thanks to Trans-Dapt that is no longer an issue at all. Their new PerfectMatch engine accessories are powder coated in factory colors, or for you Chevy guys Asphalt Black is also an option. Regardless, these new high quality parts are going to last forever and match perfectly thanks to Trans-Dapt’s powder coating process. Whether you are doing a quick engine compartment update, are trying to create a sleeper, or just need new parts for a new build, the PerfectMatch accessories could be right for you.

Billet aluminum oil filter relocation kits mount anywhere and plumb easily thanks to -12AN fittings and 180-degrees of rotation.

Whittier, Calif. (Oct, 2012) –Take the biggest, most powerful engine you can find and make it fit into your car’s engine bay – that is the basis of hot rodding. However, doing that can create any number of clearance issues, especially around the location of the oil filter. Even with the factory engine, there are still instances when filters can be hard to reach. Oil filter relocation kits were developed for just this reason, although with all of the different engine and car combinations, not everyone could use the same filter bases. Thankfully, Hamburger’s Performance Products has made an adjustable filter base that gives you complete freedom to mount your filter virtually anywhere.

Never has there been a more versatile filter relocation base. The Hamburger’s Performance Multi-Position Filter Relocation Base can be mounted anywhere in the engine bay, rotated to the desired port orientation, then locked into position thanks to its unique two-piece design. With 180 degrees of rotational movement, the filter base can be precisely rotated to aim the oil ports in the most convenient direction. Hooking up the new oil lines is also a breeze thanks to the twin -12AN fittings that also allow for the easy addition of an oil cooler later on. But not only does this make engine swaps easier, oil changes are much easier too. No more laying on the floor juggling a dripping oil filter. Now the filter can be changed without even jacking up the car.

CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, this product is built to last. The filter base is also red anodized for wear resistance and engraved with flow direction labels for easy port identification. These remote filter bases are available for the three most popular filter sizes on the market – HP4, PH8A, and HP6. This gives you flexibility to choose the right size filter to meet the needs of your engine while working within the space limitations of your engine bay. Starting at just $165, these filter bases won’t break the bank either.

OEM-color powder coated engine accessories are perfect for restored stock engines, a clever way to camouflage high-performance “sleepers,” or a quick way to clean things up under the hood.

Whittier, Calif. (Aug, 2012) –There is no better way to improve the look of your engine bay than by replacing all of the old, beat up, or rusted metal accessories and covers. Whether you are performing a complete factory restoration or a stealthy Pro-Touring build, Trans-Dapt’s PerfectMatch™ products give you the high-quality replacement parts with the show-stopping appearance you are looking for.

Helping to set PerfectMatch™ products apart from the competition is their powder coated finish. Paint can fade, crack, peel, or flake off, especially with the extreme heat found under the hood. Powder coating is stronger, lasts longer, and retains its brilliant luster much better over time. They are also easier to maintain than a chromed or polished piece as the powder coating doesn’t require any special polishing or cleaning to maintain its looks.

PerfectMatch™ oil pans, water necks, engine pulleys, radiator support panels & bars, timing chain covers, valve covers, valve caps & breathers, alternator brackets, and air cleaners are available for a variety of GM and Ford applications. Available in Ford Blue and Chevy Orange, their colors match the original production factory pieces of these vehicles, with some of the GM applications available in Asphalt Black as well.
