Historic and Controversial Mustang On Sale for Massive Money

If you have $5.5 million burning a hole in the bottom of your super yacht, you can own the first 1964 Mustang ever sold to the general public, at least that what’s it is according to ClassicMuscleCars.com. There appears to be controversy swirling around this little pony car.

Apparently, the big fight stemmed from a “misunderstanding” with respect to the fact that the sellers are not claiming this to be the first ever production Mustang, but rather the first sold to the public. There were earlier production cars used for displays, the media fleet, and other uses.

Read the full ad to see the depth of the research the sellers have done to prove that this is the car they are claiming that it is. All that being said, $5.5 million seems like one hell of a steep number for a car that is basically a footnote. If it were the first ever production model, maybe we could see about one fifth of the current asking price, but this seems like some crazy money for this particular car.

Thanks for Monk for the tip!
