Ok, so the first half of this year has been a dumpster fire drip-fed from the fuel tank of a Boeing 767. We got it. Things went south, events got cancelled, marriages got tested as everybody stayed home and hell, I’ve rebuilt half my house and I’m looking at the cars next with wrench in hand and a plan. But not all hope is lost. Just because we lost LS Fest West this year doesn’t mean that the original gathering of all things late-model GM is stuffed. In fact, the pre-registration for LS Fest East 2020 is officially opened up and if you have any inkling on coming out and playing in Bowling Green this year, you might want to move your ass…the place gets packed in a normal year and if they mandate limits, getting into this deal might be harder than getting into a swanky, high-end Vegas strip club as a high-school freshman with that fake ID your buddy made in his basement the week prior.

So what can you expect to enjoy, besides the omnipresent sound of LS and late-model LT engines singing their hearts out? Well, there’s a new drag racing class, 10.5 Warrior. Any make, any model, bring it to the track. You can stick racing seats inside and you’re going heads-up on a 10.50 index…oh, and rental cars are prohibited, so somebody needs to hurry up and tell THAT story to us soon. That’s in addition to the classes we’ve had in the past, including 1/8th mile no-time, stick shift, Late Model Heads-Up and the COPO Battle At The Green, and that’s just the drag strip. There will be plenty of show cars, road course action over at NCM Motorsports Park, autocrossing in the circle track at Beech Bend, the dyno challenge that BangShift.com co-sponsors with HP Tuners (hey, we just want to make sure you’re honest about that power figure you’re throwing around!) and of course, we couldn’t possibly ignore the one, the only Burnout Challenge. That’s right…full-on Aussie-style tire fire glory with one of the three of us egging you on with the mic in our hand.

Holley’s LS Fest East will take place September 11-13, 2020 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky and as of press time, Grand Champion and 3-Day Autcross Packs are SOLD OUT. So if you want to get registered…well, there’s no other way to say it. MOVE YOUR ASS! And in case you’re worried that the second half of 2020 will look like the first six months, Holley will refund in full if the event is cancelled due to the pandemic. We know this year’s been a gloriously disturbing one, but that doesn’t mean we can’t throw down in Bowling Green. We hope to see you all there!
