Jeremy Mayfield To Auction House, Cars, Guns, Wife’s Jewelry

Thanks to a tip from Bangshift.com forum reader Wally, we found out that Jeremy Mayfield is set to auction off his home that sits on 475 acres, his car and gun collections, and his wife’s jewelry on November 20, 2009. This information comes on the heels of Mayfield’s former lawyer Bill Diehl’s claim that he hasn’t been paid for services he has provided for Mayfield. (We have no idea what this means for Mayfield’s legal defense going forward.)

Mayfield’s house is a spectacular mansion that sits on 475 acres of property and has a full-service horse stable, large-by-huge toy shed, and a stack of cars, trucks, and all the equipment to go with them.

His car collection includes a Viper, a bitchin’ Hurst/Olds, a couple of drag cars, and some Cadillacs. (We’re not including stuff like a tri-axle dump truck, a bulldozer, and other equipment.)

Perhaps the most impressive part of the auction is the gun collection. There are ancient repeating rifles, shotguns, and everything in between. Selling off his wife’s jewelry raises the desperation level to a whole new level. It’s a sad situation.

Iron Horse Auction Company is hosting the fire sale that will take place on November 20, 2009. We’ll be following as closely as we can to see what this stuff sells for.
