Low Buck 1956 Chevy LS Swap Part 5: Getting The Rear In, Finishing Up The Brakes, And Some Details Before Going For A Ride!

This simple 1956 Chevrolet project is one we can relate to and we know you can too. There are always cool looking patina cars at shows that you see and think how much fun they must be to drive since the person who owns them spent the time on the important stuff like making them run and drive nice and being comfortable. That is exactly what is going on with this cool 1956 Chevrolet right here. 4.8 LS swap, redo the seats and interior some, make it run and drive and stop nice, and then go out and enjoy the holy hell out of this thing with the family. What else can you ask for? This video series started out by getting the original 6 cylinder and 3 speed working and taking it for a drive around the yard, and then coming in and pulling it all apart to make way for the low buck LS swap that is going on here. All the videos are linked below so you can check out anything you missed and the description of what is happening in this video is below them. Enjoy. It’s not fancy, but it will be fun.

And now, here is the fifth video of the swap series and there are only a few things left to do before the first drive and all of them happen right here. This car is a cool cruiser and we dig it! The rearend was never going to survive with the new LS power so a junkyard 9 inch was put into service, requiring perches and such, along with finishing the brakes up. Then the throttle pedal had to be sorted for the drive by wire, an air cleaner had to be fabbed up and some exhaust and other bits. Brent gets them done though and ultimately gets to take this one for its maiden voyage!
