Low Buck 1956 Chevy LS Swap Part 4: Easy Fuel System, Simple Brake Upgrades, Trans Cooler And First Fire Up!

This simple 1956 Chevrolet project is one we can relate to and we know you can too. There are always cool looking patina cars at shows that you see and think how much fun they must be to drive since the person who owns them spent the time on the important stuff like making them run and drive nice and being comfortable. That is exactly what is going on with this cool 1956 Chevrolet right here. 4.8 LS swap, redo the seats and interior some, make it run and drive and stop nice, and then go out and enjoy the holy hell out of this thing with the family. What else can you ask for? This video series started out by getting the original 6 cylinder and 3 speed working and taking it for a drive around the yard, and then coming in and pulling it all apart to make way for the low buck LS swap that is going on here. All the videos are linked below so you can check out anything you missed and the description of what is happening in this video is below them. Enjoy. It’s not fancy, but it will be fun.

And now, here is the fourth video of the swap series where the donor 4.8L is in the car and the mounts are finished, trans crossmember is fabbed up, the exhaust manifolds are modified to fit, and everything is getting buttoned up now that the fuel system components have arrived along with all the brake parts for the front. So the fuel system is going together, as is the brakes, and the rest of the engine compartment is getting buttoned up, including the wiring and EFI so that this sucker can start up for the first time!
