Jeremy Mayfield, the NASCAR driver indefinitely suspended for violating NASCAR’s drug testing policy, has hired a lawyer in an attempt to clear his name. Apparently he has also acquired a copy of the toxicology report cited in his suspension from the sport.
Mayfield is fighting an uphill battle as his name has been associated with drug use for the last several weeks after receiving the suspension. If he can bring enough evidence to bear against NASCAR that they have to reinstate him, it will be a major humiliation for the sanctioning body.
