Brett Stevens, the Australian drag racing mega-star who was recently scooped up in a police drag net against illegal drugs seems to be in some major league trouble.

First, he shocked the drag racing world with an abrupt announcement of his retirement a couple months ago, then began to sell his massive collection of race cars, show cars, and exhibition vehicles. The reasons for his departure from the scene were basically unknown at the time, but now it seems he may have had an inkling as to what was coming.

Additional information has come to light is in regard to what was found in Stevens’ possession at the time of his arrest, most shockingly a pill press that was capable of making 1,000 pills a minute, not to mention the couple thousand ecstasy pills that were already on hand. There’s also the matter of the 4.5 kilograms of ecstasy powder that was found. By the way, that’s 10 freaking pounds. Ten pounds of ecstasy is enough to make massive numbers of pills.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we feel bad for the kids that viewed Stevens as something of a hero. He’s a larger than life guy, who was apparently living larger than life.
