NASCAR has filed court paperwork requesting that a judge order driver Jeremy Mayfield to take mental and physical tests to determine whether or not he has a drug problem. This should spur some awesome quotes from Mayfield who has yet to respond to this latest request.
Also in the paperwork were the names of four people who will testify to having witnessed Mayfield use meth over the span of several years. These include former family members, and friends who were close with Mayfield and his wife.
This is the boldest move yet by NASCAR in the legal process, and this list of four people (not counting recently arrested mother-in-law Lisa Mayfield) seems to be pretty damning. If in fact all of their testimony holds water, Mayfield could be in some serious trouble.
