If you are in the greater Indy area this weekend, August 6-8, make sure to stop by O’Reilly Raceway Park to check out the NHRA’s new Unleashed series and the dulcet announcing tones of our own Chad Reynolds, who is the series announcer. The race will feature lots of racing that the traditional NHRA Series does not include.
There’s the wild Outlaw 10.5 cars, Limited Street, EZ Street, a host of heads-up index classes and more. The big draw this weekend will be the Pro Mod class that will showcase some of the heaviest hitters in the world. Racers like Melanie Troxel, Ray Commisso, Brad Personnet, and Mike Janis will be on the ground in their wild door slammers at Indy.
Chad will be easy to spot as the guy with the long beard having a nervous breakdown on the microphone. Follow the sound of the high-pitched screaming to find him.
