It used to take work to make your late-model car look like crap. You had to drive to your local chain auto parts store, walk up and down the tacky aisle with your crap magnet on, pay the guy at the register, and then glue all the terrible junk you bought onto your car. Ford has found a way to cut out the middle man by offering “custom” vinyl wraps on some Ford models now and all models by the end of the year.
According to a story on CNN.com, the prices of the vinyl will range from $100 to $1200 or as we like to say, from dork to you-shouldn’t-own-a-car.
How could you go wrong? Spec out some sweet flames for your new Taurus, or perhaps some wacky stick on flowers for your Fiesta. The possibilities are endless, oh wait, they’re not. Each model will have about 50 designs to choose from according to the story.
