BangShift Project Files: A Turbo Lincoln LSC That Is Getting The Full-Kill Build Treatment

BangShift Project Files: A Turbo Lincoln LSC That Is Getting The Full-Kill Build Treatment

The Fox-body Lincoln Mark VII and LSC are criminally underrated. Take every positive aspect you can come up with about a similar-vintage Fox Mustang, add the aero shape that is shared with the Thunderbird that Bill Elliott made famous, a luxury liner interior, and the one thing every Mustang builder really wants, five-lug hubs, and you’ve got the Lincoln ready to go. Same 5.0L V8, same AOD automatic, and if you want three pedals, you can do that too. Plus, you gain some legroom thanks to the increased wheelbase. And they don’t look half-bad, either…kind of like a well-groomed bouncer in a nice suit. Still plenty of violence at hand, but with an edge of maturity to it. We dig it.

So does one of the BangShift Forums’ newest members, Bacon. He’s been working on this LSC for a bit and upon joining BangShift, went ballistic with uploading the build for everyone to see, from when he got the car to the point where he turned the electrical system into spaghetti, from when he had the Lincoln ‘caged up and to now, with it’s home-built cowl hood and the prep work ready for a turbocharged Ford small-block. There’s seven pages of brand-new project car fodder to check out, so do yourself a favor and go look. It’s one hell of a personal introduction!

I’ve always had a secret lust for a “Hot Rod Lincoln” build from one of these Fox based cars. The big thing for me would be deciding on a which way to go with it, killer pro-touring look or tubbed out 1/4 mile slayer?
