Here’s a great scenario for you. You’re traveling upstream along a small river in a wooded area in a jet boat. You encounter a log straddling the entire width of the river, bank to bank. What do you do, hot shot? We’re talking the kind of tree that requires a few hours with a chainsaw and maybe a truck to dispose of properly kind of log…this isn’t just some twigs in the way. Sounds like the end of the line, right? You aren’t going to just suddenly sprout a logging crew who can get rid of the impromptu deer bridge in ten minutes. Time to turn around and head back downstream, right?

Oh, come on…you know what site you clicked on. I don’t know what you’d replace the Dixie horn with in this case (“Anchors Aweigh”?) but the guys in this boat went full Dukes of Hazzard and launched right over the tree like it wasn’t anything to sweat…just hit the throttle, hit the log and redefine “puddle jumping” out in the British Columbia woods. And maybe, once you’ve finished your trip, haul the boat to your nearest recreational watercraft shop to get that windshield you broke taken care of, ok?
