Brent at Halfass Kustoms Is Building a 1951 Ford Rat Rod. And He’s Doing It With A Zero Dollar Budget! Can He Pull It Off?

We love Brent’s drive and determination, but it may be his resourcefulness and creativity with used parts that impresses me most. I remember when I first started watching his channel, and he was doing a chop top on some winter driver 4-door Mercury. What impressed the hell out of me was the fact that he went out to his roof pile, yes he has a pile of roofs from cars and trucks, and picked one that already had the shape he wanted to he didn’t have to cut up the entire stock roof to try and shape it. I fell in love with the idea of a roof pile and now I can’t help but follow his projects because you never know what kind of cool he’s going to pull out of thin air.

So when Brent says he’s going to put together a cool 1951 Ford Rat Rod, with a zero dollar budget, I don’t scoff the idea. In fact I just get excited when I hear him say something like that. So what kind of cool rat rod goodness will this one have in it? I’m pretty sure it’s going to be exciting, even if I’m not quite sure how this whole thing will turn out. But if you can build a car that is just fun to cruise around, using nothing but spare parts and extras, you are going to have an absolute riot in it.

Here’s the first video from the build.

Video Description:

In this video we start a new project we decide to build a Rat Rod of sorts. The plan is to use up random junk around the yard to build a big wheeled ‘51 F1 Ford rat rod.
