A kid’s first truck is a pretty special thing, and it’s awesome that Newbern’s son has got himself a project. This one is a 1969 C10 and it needs some love for sure, but they are doing it right. Watch them pull the front end off of it and get it ready for the used LS engine they are swapping in. Then it’s time to bolt in the engine, and get it ready to run. This is a cool story and fun to watch Newbern and his son working together on a cool project. It means more right now I’m sure as Dave’s dad recently passed away.

On this episode we swap in a new engine into my sons 1969 Chevrolet C10. I had a spare 5.3 liter and 4l60e in storage and we decided to use that and install a brand new fuel injection system. Aces Fuel Injection is new to the scene and we thought we might give it a shot. It was super easy to install and fired up immediately. The Jackpot kit is nice and clean and comes with a 7″ touchscreen dash and a weather sealed ecu.
