Iron Trap 1932 Ford “DeLorean” Roadster: Detailed Forensic Upholstery Investigation

It’s so close to done! The Iron Trap Garage ’32 Ford Roadster project is so close to being a fun driver. Of course no matter how good all the style and mechanics are the thing still has to be comfortable to sit in so that you can have a good time driving it. But this car is not a full restoration, but rather a resurrection. That means that in order to bring it back to where it was as a hot rod all those years ago there is some forensics that has to happen. In order to make the top look like it did back in the day, it is going to take a skilled eye and a skilled hand, not to mess it up more than help it.

Check out what the guys do to make that happen.

Video Description:

Our good friend Jim is a seasoned upholstery guru, and he is going to do the interior and roadster top on the 32 DeLorean Roadster. Jim has been going interior work for 40+ years and knows 32 roadsters very well. Jim has done the interior on a lot of high-end cars that have won Pebble Beach and Amelia Island, making him overqualified!! Jim and Matt work through the whole roadster top, picking out all of the neat custom touches that were done on the top back in the day. Without Jim’s help, we would have had a really hard time figuring this all out!!
